Roles And Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in navigation and ensure the vessel’s safety.
• Oversee the deck department and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct safety drills and training for the crew.
• Operate and monitor the dynamic positioning system to maintain the vessel’s position.
• Ensure the DP system is functioning correctly and perform regular checks and maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of daily operations, cargo, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports for the Captain and company management.
  
  

Qualifications

• Chief Mate, shall hold minimum Class 2 Certificate of Competency and a DP Certificates
•  Minimum two years’ experience as Chief Mate on DP vessels
